Series 3 registered with the National Futures Association since 1988, Kurtis is also the President-Principal of KIS Futures, Inc. KIS is an independent introducing brokerage firm that executes futures, options and derivatives contracts on most Exchanges (including Clearport and ICE) for institutions, hedgers, and traders in the energy, agricultural, and financial industries. KIS was founded in 1988 and Kurtis joined the firm in 1989.

Kurtis received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and his Law Degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He has authored several futures related articles including a law paper on “THE FUTURES INDUSTRY: from Commodities to the Over-the-Counter Derivatives Market”. He also provides legal consultation services to institutions using the Futures and Derivatives markets.

Kurtis’ other registrations have included: Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), Series 7, Series 24, Series 63, and Series 65. He also serves as an Arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the National Futures Association (NFA). Kurtis writes and speaks on a variety of investment topics as well as American History and Constitutional Law. He has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma State University-OKC campus.

Kurtis is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association.

Lane is the Chief Operating Officer of KIS Futures, Inc. and has been with the firm for over 16 years. Steven began working at KIS Futures part-time during his high school and college years. In 2000 he received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That same year, Steven received his Series 3 Registration with KIS Futures. He worked alongside Kurtis Ward at the KIS Futures Stockyards Branch Office specializing in Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle Hedging as well as executing Energy Futures and Options for large traders. After spending the last 8 years as an artist, singer/songwriter at a large Oklahoma City church, Steven returned to KIS Futures in 2009 working in office operations and executing trades. Currently, Steven holds his Series 3 License and executes futures and options trades on all major exchanges for KIS customers.
